Release Announcement: Kapacitor 1.5.7

A new maintenance release for Kapacitor is available now.

Important Highlight

We’ve recently updated the package validation mechanics to use SHA-256. Versions prior to 1.5.5 used MD5 which had some known security vulnerabilities.   

This release for Kapacitor includes the following fixes and improvements:

  • Event Handlers
    • ServiceNow provides IT service management software with a comprehensive managed workflow that supports features such as real-time communication, collaboration, and resource sharing. Kapacitor can now be configured to send alert messages to ServiceNow. If you are using Chronograf, we haven't exposed the ability to configure ServiceNow; if this is something you are interested in, reach out to us through the channels below. 
    • For the OpsGenie Event Handler, we received a community contribution to Add the .recoveryaction() method to support overriding the OpsGenieV2 alert recovery action in a TICKscript. Thanks to @zabullet!
  • Templates
    • Added support for templating URLs in the httpPost node and alert node.
    • Added missing .Details to the alert template.
