Release Announcement: InfluxDB 1.5.0 and InfluxDB Enterprise 1.5.0

New feature bearing releases for InfluxDB and InfluxDB Enterprise are now available:

Key highlights for the release include:

  • General Availability of the Time Series Index (TSI) - this feature allows for the database index to spill-to-disk allowing our users to store more series than ever before. It should be used in cases where you have ephemeral series.
  • Portable Back-up - backup and restore capabilities have been enhanced to allow for backups to be moved seamlessly between the open source and enterprise editions.  This allows users to easily move data in either direction (OSS to Enterprise, Enterprise to OSS) for a wide variety of use cases including development, testing, disaster recovery, and more.

Features released with InfluxDB 1.4 OSS are also available now with InfluxDB Enterprise 1.5.0.

If you have been using the TSI preview with InfluxDB Enterprise 1.3.6 or earlier 1.3.x releases, you will need to follow the upgrade steps. TSI is now a generally available feature – ready for production use. See more details here: Upgrading from previous versions
