Testimonials
The Grid Systems Infrastructure team at SolarCity is responsible for providing the infrastructure to withstand loading tons of real-time data from their field devices, into their pub/sub messaging system, and back out to multiple outlets, such as real-time databases like InfluxDB. SolarCity loves continuous queries (CQs), because it allows them to aggregate from within InfluxDB itself in real-time.
SolarCity is an American provider of energy services, headquartered in San Mateo, California. Among its primary services, the company designs, finances, and installs solar power systems. The company has over 13,000 employees.
DNSFilter needed a solution that could grow and scale as their business grew. Because they have a global anycast network that needs to support the collection of billions of queries per day, InfluxDB provided them with the collection and querying capabilities to power their dashboard analytics and metered-based billing. InfluxDB helps to power these features that differentiates DNSFilter's service from the competition.
DNSFilter is a cloud-delivered DNS based content filtering and threat protection service that protects an unlimited amount of networks without the need for any in-house hardware or appliances. Their affordable pricing model is based upon usage, allowing their service to scale to your network requirements in real time.
Commonwealth Financial Network was interested in monitoring firewall metrics in real-time, specifically CPU as it identifies many issues not necessarily related to volume traffic - for example half-duplex mismatch. To monitor their firewall they wrote a Node.js app to run inside a Docker container using Sensu to collect and InfluxDB to store the metrics.
Commonwealth Financial Network is a privately held independent broker/dealer-RIA based in Massachusetts and San Diego.
