Despite a halt in travel in 2020, InfluxData made incredible progress reaching users around the world through the new InfluxData Authorized Channel Partner program. The program features a robust ecosystem of distributor and reseller partners that help to support InfluxDB users around the world. In 2020, we welcomed 23 channel partners, including three regional distributors and 20 resellers in the Asia Pacific, EMEA and North American regions.
These partners are critical extensions of our team, working closely with InfluxData HQ to provide implementation and sales services in regional geographies and languages, primarily in the Asia Pacific region with a focus on IoT use cases. In the first year of the program, with the help of our channel partners, we welcomed many new enterprise customers and community users.
Among the new customers were Japanese giant SoftBank; Chinese telecom leader China Mobile and payments leader GoPay; and Korean telecom company SK Broadband. The deals were supported and accelerated by new strategic partnerships with Digital China and Hyundai BS&C.
Meet our regional distributors
InfluxData regional distributors serve as key strategic partners of InfluxData in their respective territories. Distributors help support the resellers in their area and provide local language and procurement assistance to make InfluxDB purchases outside of the U.S. headquarters seamless. These distributors and their partners also assist in translation to make InfluxData documentation and materials more broadly accessible in various languages.
Digital China (China)
Digital China engages in providing cloud products, solutions and cloud managed services. The company designs and delivers big data solutions, platforms, and IT infrastructure for customers together with over 30,000 partners. Digital China is the exclusive distributor of InfluxData in China.
Hyundai BS&C (Korea)
Hyundai BS&C is a leading Korean provider of IT solutions, including distribution, IT outsourcing and consultancy services. Hyundai BS&C develops IT-specialized solutions applicable to a wide range of businesses in the smart home and smart factory sectors especially based on ICT technology, and supports analysis, design, development and operation for their immediate on-site application.
IIIOT Infotech (India)
IIIOT Infotech is an IoT- and OT-based company in India focused on enabling automation through sensors, IOT/OT platforms and databases and by building reseller partner ecosystems.
Authorized reseller partners
Authorized reseller partners provide sales and implementation services to customers and users in their language and timezone. Resellers work closely with their distributor partner as well as InfluxData HQ to become a true extension of the InfluxData team. These partners also participate in InfluxData community events such as InfluxDays or Time Series Meetups in their areas.
What do the program badges mean?
InfluxData Authorized Channel Partners can be easily recognized by the official program badges. Each badge designates their ongoing commitment to their partnership with InfluxData. Authorized Distributors work most closely with InfluxData and oversee the reseller partners in their territory. Platinum Partners have achieved the highest reseller status by certifying their sales and engineering teams to provide comprehensive solutions to their customers. Both Gold and Authorized partners are still on their journey to Platinum Partner status.
What's next?
As InfluxDB continues to be adopted in new places around the world, we are always looking for new ways to help and support new users. This year, the channel program will continue to focus on building relationships with new regional channel partners while continuing to work in close collaboration with our existing partner community. As we hope to see a return to in-person events as it becomes safe, we’ll work with our channel partners to establish new Time Series Meetups in Asia and Europe to help create opportunities for the community to come together.
We will also be working closely with our channel partners for our upcoming InfluxDays user conferences. Don’t forget to mark your calendars, as you won’t want to miss the opportunity to join in. The EMEA virtual event will take place May 18-19, 2021, and the North America event will take place later in the fall of 2021. There is still a little time left to submit your call for papers for the EMEA event.
