Scalingo

Scalingo is a Platform as a Service with Docker at its heart. It aims to simplify the everyday job of web developers regarding hosting, building, deploying and scaling their web applications.

Scalingo needed metrics (CPU, RAM, network consumption) and its customers needed metrics for accurate decision handling. With Scalingo, customers can create InfluxDB databases on-demand. Never think about machines and never install software. Scalingo gives you a connection string, and you are good to go! This was the motivation for Scalingo designing its own metrics infrastructure. This meant collecting, storing and querying relevant data.
